  2. I guess there are various reasons for this jaydu...
Firstly, Foreign producers are always trying & applying for oscars, for each and every category. I doubt any Indian film ever gets so many nominations in the oscars.

Moreover, if we compare Rehman saab's music to any other music... Rehman definitely outmatches them... But then Music is not the only deciding factor when it comes to Awards is it? I dont need to confess here what is the state of Indian movies as compared to others...

Secondly, we don't give much of a platform to great movies made... What happened to Wednesday? Black Friday? Critics and public both love these movies, But they haven't even been nominated for the normal awards... The sad part is... Great movies dont have glamour... Take a look at RDB... The storyline was awesome... It was adopted from a Latin movie... The topic was hot... and Aamir khan & his glamour made the movie a cult... it had everything... Take another example of Billu Barber now... Imagine the movie without shahrukh khan? These people deliver simple sober movies with such packaging that the movie's box office rating and public demand touches the sky...

The story is sad but true... There's not much of a platform given to good movies in India... Total sadness!!!
